Description: it looks like rocks covered in algae and sand. It's colors are mostly grey but can come in diffrent shades. on the top of it's pectoral fins it has bright red, yellow and orange colors. they are displayed when they feel that they are threatened. most scorpionfish like them have spines that run along the top. i am not sure if they have those though.

Habitat: they can be found in tidepools and shallow reefs.

         nice...

Range (include invasive, native, endemic): these spp are native to the hawaiian islands, so that means that they really belong here, in the hawaiian islands.
Trophic information: these guys eat small fish so they probably eat small scooling fish. it hunts by staying camouflaged, and waiting for hours untill some tiny unsespecting fish comes along and gets eatten. it dosent really have predators that hunt these things down. so that means that they are free to roam. lucky

Safety: most scoriponfish have poisons in their spines. obviously, that means, dont step on them. unless you want to skip school or something. like me. but be prepaired, they can really hurt, and you will need immidiat medical attention.

if you want to avoid this, well then, when you reef walk or anthing, wear closed toed shoes that have thick soles. and when you walk, shuffel your feet, so that you scare it away instead of stepping on the crazy thing.

Comments: it's not good to just go and start looking for these things. that can be really bed is you know what i mean. you would know whayt i mean if you read the safty so instead of just skipping through thins thing, maybe should just take your time and read it all. and if you did, congrats, your one of the few people who actually listen to all of the important things. oh, and becides, they are kind of hard to find, so think before you actually try.
Links to Resources: a good reasource is a book by the man of the hawaiis reefs and all... jhon hover. he sure helped a lot, well, by writeing that thing, even though that book that we had got all wet. see you later.
