Description: Isteblennius zebra, commonly known as the Zebra Rockskipper (pao`o in Hawaiian) ranges from a greenish tan color to black. There are dark double bars on the side of the body. There are also two tentacles on the top of its eyes.

Habitat: This particular fish lives in shallow tidepools, reef fronts. They like to live close to the shoreline on rocky areas.
Range (include invasive, native, endemic): Isteblennius zebra is endemic to the Hawaiian islands.
Trophic information: This particular fish feed on algae on rocks and coral.
Safety: There are no safety issudes regarding this fish.
Comments: Isteblennius zebra makes a great pet for a fish tank. They are an intellegent species of fish, something different for your fish tank.
